Data stored on your device
Akordly stores the songs, lists, favorites, display settings, and language preference you create inside the app on your device so the app can work offline and reopen with your library intact.
Privacy Policy
Akordly is designed to help musicians keep songs, lists, and stage-ready views available offline. This policy explains what the app and companion may store, what optional diagnostics may be collected, and what stays under your control.
Akordly stores the songs, lists, favorites, display settings, and language preference you create inside the app on your device so the app can work offline and reopen with your library intact.
When you import songs or create backups, Akordly reads only the files you choose and writes files only to locations you select. Those files are used to populate your library or create backups and are not intentionally sent to a remote server by the app.
The Akordly companion page can store your current draft song text and theme preference locally in your browser so you can come back to unfinished work. That draft storage is meant to stay on your device and can usually be cleared through your browser's site-data controls.
If you choose to enable analytics in the mobile app's settings, Akordly may use Google Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to collect technical diagnostics, crash reports, device information, and limited usage events so the app can be improved, monitored, and stabilized.
These tools are intended to help identify bugs, understand feature usage, and improve reliability. Akordly is designed not to send song titles, lyrics, chord sheets, imported file contents, or backup contents through these telemetry tools.
Akordly does not require an account to use its core song library features. If premium purchases are enabled in your version of the app, Google Play or the Apple App Store may process billing and subscription information under their own terms and privacy policies. Akordly is not intended to receive your full payment card details.
Outside of optional analytics or crash-reporting tools you choose to enable, Akordly is not intended to sell personal data or share your song library with third parties as part of normal use.
You can edit or delete songs and lists at any time, export your own backup, import a replacement backup, turn analytics and crash reporting on or off in Settings, or remove locally stored app data by uninstalling the app or clearing its storage through your device settings.
For the web companion, you can clear saved drafts and preferences through your browser's storage controls.
